Funny how I anticipated silence when that was posted  ::) At one time it would have been blurted out.

This will be the £10,000 that was nearly fleeced from AP and his sister.

What £10,000 lookout?

It was part of Nevill's estate and AP had waited years until it had been realised that it was between AP and his sister. I can't remember how it came to light or who'd realised all wasn't well, but I know there were eruptions over it.

It shows that AP and his sister are the plaintiffs, and that Basic Cock is one of the people being sued.

Sued for what? It wasn't his money. They hadn't been left anything so it wasn't as if he was hiding their inheritance from them. Still, I guess someone must have told they they could sue him.

Good question Jane. He was the executor though, so AP and his sister had some kind of grievance against him. They had been left something in Nevill's Will actually, but the point is that they thought they were entitled to half the estate, or Nevill's estate, after the conviction, which is correct IMO.

I don't remember it. I know that AP and his sister were left some money in Nevill's Will, which they would have got through the normal probate procedure. That was £1,000 each.

Not forgetting the 6/7 pages  of statements to police that BW made of the theft and fraud of PE from machinery at WHF which had been conveniently swept under the carpet because of JB's forthcoming trial.
What a bunch of shysters !!

OK. Have I got this right? They'd been left £10,000? but weren't satisfied so were suing for more. I still don't see why they'd need to sue BC, but hey! As for what they thought they should get, IF inheritance was based on June dying last, everything belonging to Nevill automatically -other than bequests- became June's. Quite naturally, future inheritances would go to June's side of the family. Tough, perhaps, but sometimes life's a bitch. I wonder if this was why it was settled out of court, ie because they weren't entitled in law?

They went on to sue for £10,000 which was by rights, theirs through Nevill.

Was it written in the will? Was it a bequest? I can't think why, if it was, they'd have to fight for it.
