Yes, those relatives seem to know an awful lot about it.

Re Jeremy and farming, it was probably like a lot of jobs - sometimes people enjoy their job and sometimes they don't. I daresay that harvesting or driving a tractor is OK when it's sunny, and not so nice if it's cloudy and raining. That was just an example of course.

Sure. As I say -frequently- no thing/situation is all black or all white...............unless one's own mindset makes it appear so.

Exactly! They had no claim until Jeremy was convicted, and yet they seemed awfully interested in it all.

I don't know if you've ever worked, Nugs, but when one feels oneself to be part of a team working towards the same goals, one has an interest in anything regarding the job and those involved in it. It frequently includes whinging about a boss who takes time off, making it necessary for staff to work longer hours. Whether or not one has a "'claim'" on a boss is neither here nor there.

It was a family business, ergo it was a family 'concern' in which ever context you choose to put it.

What was a family business? The Bambers had a family business re the farm, but it didn't include the relatives. The caravan park included members of both families, but that was nothing to do with the farm.

But that's just how you experience it. As far as the family were concerned I feel certain they saw shared family interests. Lines -over time- become blurred.

That was up to them, but it's no wonder if Jeremy got fed up with them getting involved when it was nothing to do with them. They ran their own farms, not White House Farm.

In what way were they part of Nevill's business?

and that also leads to the other question of how they knew so much I doubt if Jeremy or nevile volunteered that information.

As in all farming families -especially those in close proximity- there would have been cross overs.
