Haven't followed the facts but hope this charade doesn't end up with that woman getting in. Her with the dark hair. Can't remember her name.
I don't know who you mean. There's Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris, but I can't think of others.

Nikki Haley
I think she would only get the nomination if Trump went to prison, which is unlikely.

Apparently he was rejected by the school's rifle team for being a poor shot. I think had the secret services been involved they would have chosen someone of higher calibre.

It seems as if it was Nancy Pelosi who finally put the pressure on Biden-the nuclear option, that is to say, threaten to invoke Article 25 of the constitution and declare the President insane, were he to refuse to step down. The man is evidently a shadow of his former self, not helped, I suspect, by Orlistat, stripping all the natural absorption of nutrients for the low-fat diet fad, assisted manfully by several bouts of facial rejuvenation surgery.

It seems the front runner and likely replacement will be Jamaican-Asian Vice-President Kamala Harris, former Attorney General of California, who during her schooldays was bussed to an out of area school to maintain the required ethnic mix in education establishments. The same policy was pursued by ILEA in the 1960s.  If she has the ability to control her cackle at regular intervals she may stand a chance. If the Democrats do decide on a contest (and time is fast running out), the current Governor of California, Gavin Newsome, would be Harris' main challenger. He is described as white liberal-elitist, wringing his hands of that state's drug problems and out of touch with working-class people of all ages. An outside contender would be Gretchen Whitmer, Michigan's stalwart Governor, who has a reputation for getting things done, though I can't see two women on the Democratic ticket, so she may have to wait for another day.

I think they will have to tread carefully with this one Steve, if they just put Vice-President Kamala Harris as replacement without Contest,  it will backfire,  she has to be seen to beat other Candidates first who might be in the Race.  If they play it right, i think she will have a chance.  She's also going to be questioned how much she knew about Biden's health and when she knew he was going to drop out?  I think Trumps assasination attempt prompted Biden to drop out, Trump started to surge in the Polls, so this is to Counter Trumps rise in the Polls?

Well, I agree that the assassination attempt was the catalyst for the resignation Hardy Boy. But I doubt they have time for a contest, given that the Democratic nominee has to be in place by the Convention in Chicago starting Monday 19 August.

Maybe they could have a competition based on X Factor. The one who sings best gets the nomination. https://youtu.be/feFl1DMT_Y4

There's a little more detail in the following article. I doubt there will be any more dirt thrown at Trump; at least, dirt that will stick. Some voters won't vote for Harris simply because she's a woman, and others won't bother to vote at all. I've even heard some black voters complain she's not black enough for their liking. Sorry if that causes offence, but I'm just reporting from what I've read. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/key-swing-state-poll-show-who-is-leading-between-trump-and-harris/ar-BB1qnPEW?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=5241f6d866c849bb8b4b456832f4d05c&ei=11

HA HA, i don't know how they going to do it Steve, not looked into the time frame, could they delay it slightly?  How long did it take to swap Candidates in this Country for the Tories, it was like musical chairs  ;D ;D  Obama has already proposed a way around it?

A statement from the Obamas' office lauded Mr Biden but made no reference to Ms Harris.

"We will be navigating uncharted waters in the days ahead," it read.

"But I have extraordinary confidence that the leaders of our party will be able to create a process from which an outstanding nominee emerges.

"I believe that Joe Biden's vision of a generous, prosperous and united America that provides opportunity for everyone will be on full display at the Democratic Convention in August."

That could be interpreted as a call for an open contest, rather than a coronation.

Well, there's only one woman who might have a chance in stopping Trump: Michelle Obama. But I have no idea how that would be arranged.
