However agree Bamber may have left the bike a couple of minutes from WHF. A bike can be quite noisey.  Approaching WHF on foot would be a lot quieter & Bamber would be more mobile.

There was no reason to cycle right up to the bathroom window.

Of course Bamber cycled to & from WHF. Julie seeing the bike just before the massacre, AE just after the massacre. In between Bamber making a 'mysterious' call to the police at 3.36am. Or was 3.26am ?

There was zero forensic evidence on that bike to show it had been used on those routes . This was the 1980s not the 1880s they know what to test for and how.

So not only would have Jeremy had to get  rid of every bit of clothing but clean every bit of those tyres.

"Every bit of clothing" hardly amounted to a wardrobe full. Certainly, he wouldn't have know how long he was going to have, but every day that he wasn't suspected was a chance to rid himself of/wash? something he wore at the time.

So that should the question be asked, the police could say that tests had been carried out. Tests MAY have revealed microscopic particles missed by an eye search.
