undienable proof of innocene isnt enough to get compensation ask barry geordge.
Seems its more about how innocent you are.

I think I read somewhere that that was the excuse made in Barry George's case.

I reckon poor Jill Dando could have been on the verge of a breakthrough of a story at the time . It would figure, the way she was targeted as it was clearly a contract murder/shooting. I'd have to look back at the news at that time.

Think most agree these days it had all the hallmarks of a contract killing.

but they know barry geordge dident do it or the police would be renivestigating but theve still refused him compensation and if he cant get i cant seee how anyones got a chance of getting it.

I don't think he has been proven innocent that's why.

Trouble is nugs,the police don't like admitting that they got it wrong in case they have to forfeit their pension. I'm almost certain that deep down,they know they were wrong about Jeremy too.

at his second trail it was established that he somewhere else when the murder happened if that's not proof of innocence im not sure what is.

No it was established that the fibers on in the forensics where contaminated that's why his conviction was quashed.

Actually, it was a minuscule particle of gunpowder found in his pocket - the defence argued that it could have got there via contamination in the lab.

Staff at the Hammersmith and Fulham Action on Disability said he arrived at their offices at around 12:00 noon and the witnesses who saw the killer run away, failed to identify Barry George.
