Personally, I've always viewed that situation as being one were Jeremy is probably disorientated. How many of us have been woken by a call after 3am? It is not a time of night where people are known to have their wits about them, when having been suddenly woken up. Many thoughts may have circulated in his mind - for example 'why didn't dad phone 999?' (I mean if that is the case - nobody was saved anyway).
Regarding the other statement - all I know is that Mike Tesko used to claim that this was Taff's theory.
What is Ann Eaton going to do if it turns out that somebody did phone 999?
We are getting away from the point here somewhat... how and why did Essex Police officers begin labelling this incident as a 'siege' so early on in the events - without even having a situation report? How does it also become described as a 'shooting incident' - when there is no knowledge of any shots having being fired? The informant Jeremy Bamber didn't say that he heard shots. PS Chris Bews and PC Stephen Myall didn't say that they heard shots. Neither did the police 'make assumptions' or get 'conned' (as already explained - CA5 dawdled to the scene without any sense of urgency and PS Bews has expressed he didn't know what to expect - it could be a hoax).
Why didn't Jeremy Bamber claim that he heard shots over the phone when Nevill allegedly called him (if he is trying to set his sister up)?
Why does Jeremy Bamber blame the TFG for killing his family (if he is trying to set up his sister)? The most logical answer is because the police gave him the impression throughout that morning, that there was somebody still alive in the house - they gave him something to cling to.
i think we have been here loads of times Roch, I think each side glams up the negatives and misses the positives I am talking defence and prosecution, this happens in every case.
Quite simply, Bamber not saying he heard shots gives him time to do what he did, hearing shots would have pressured a 999 call, it would have put pressure on him responding quicker, why phone Julie when shots are fired why dwardle in getting there, the longer he is with police outside takes him out the frame and it has worked with his supporters but not with the justice system.
Blaming the police for shooting his family, another tactic putting the blame on someone else takes spotlight off you. He knew it was strange first off that his dad had not been out to see what the dog was barking at, the dogs were barking for near on 4 hours, there is all this commotion outside and Ralph never appeared, he had not heard any news about the family and at that stage police would have been specific, the phone line went dead, his sister going berserk with a gun, no one hanging out the window shouting what the fuck is going on, lights on in the house, phone still off hook, I could go on Roch, your not that gullible surely?
As for Ann Eaton, I don't know how they would react, she didn't seem to hold a grudge when he robbed the caravan site (part her money) and she sat on the sofa holding his hand when he first came home?
