Crowd funder finished

Well the crowd fund thing finished a few hours ago, so what happens now? When will they pay the money over to the forensics lab guys? I wonder how long until we have results

What happens now, I think they might extend it or start another one up?

What happens if I need to raise more after my initial target?

Many cases that hit their initial “all or nothing” target need to raise more money, either straight away or later on in their legal journey. You can set a “stretch” target that kicks in once your initial target has been met to accommodate changing funding needs.

What one person sees as a con others dont but in time maybe people will change their minds! I think its a fair response to say ask the person running the appeal for funds. Direct updates from the source are always better than speculation

Yes,Lilly,I'd have contacted the team themselves, afterall they appear to be honest and above board.

Having being involved in something similar but not on such a huge scale or anywhere near as successful, I realise how much effort it takes to raise money.

Jeremy must have some very faithful, willing supporters!

Lookout's reply was fair and above board surely if you have a question about where the money raised will go & how it will be used you'd ask the person or persons running the fund raising page rather than 3rd parties who don't really know so why all turn against them , just because they never worded their response in a way others might have in the grand scale of things is it really such a big deal

Jeremy has a lot of supporters including a judge,MP,actress, writer and others with long-standing careers.
You'd be surprised just how many do support him and as things progress, there'll be more who'll actually see sense in this, what has been,a fiasco from start to finish.

There are a lot of judges. MP's, actors and Writers who think he's guilty too. I would indeed be surprised at how many people do support him to any great degree, they weren't willing to put their hands in their pockets by the thousands were they?

I have removed quite a few posts from this thread because they were mainly personal insults from both sides of the argument.

Please stick to the subject matter.  Cheers. :-X :-X :)

A lot of up and coming solicitors etc weren't even born in 1985 or were only small children,so are comparatively new to the case, but these now young people can see or pick out things that others have missed over the years. Learning skills are a lot different today especially when it comes to law as apart from changes in the system in one or two areas you also have the " human rights " in the forefront whereas it was never really heard of back then.
Finances will gather momentum as time goes on and I don't think the last funding did so badly gathering £4,000 in a month. £1,000 a week wasn't bad going. I'd understand if it had been a year !

And how many of these up and coming lawyers do you think will believe JB innocent? An small fraction and perhaps a few more that might want the challenge of making a name for themselves - not too bothered if he's guilty or innocent.

It was interesting to watch the donations page, most was gathered in the first two weeks, then someone donated over a grand in one go. I have my own ideas on that BUT, once they stretched the target, they raised just over £500.00 in about the same amount of time. I think the hard line supporters ran out of steam but I am sure you won't agree.

By the way Lookout there is a new series starting tonight on Channel 5 at 10pm, called 'Me and My Mental Health'. Looks interesting.

I could also argue that there'll also be a small fraction of new lawyers won't know their ass from their elbow unless they're highly dedicated to the job and not the money. Given their charges,it makes me wonder, only their " wording " is different.
The " someone " donated £2,000,I'd read anyway.
Ran out of money,I'd have said-------end of month salary after that particular fund closed, then bills, etc.

I'll watch that programme tonight, thanks for telling me. I remember seeing it advertised listing Frank Bruno and his problems. Adele has also gone public with her post-natal depression too.

Did you watch Dark Angel last night ?

Yes I did, she's a bit of a legend here. My dad told me about her when I was a kid. Looking forward to the second half. Guess it was never a good idea to share a cupper with Mary!  :o
