As I see it, Caroline, NONE of this would have occurred had David resisted the urge to gloat about 'HIS' find. Whatever it is he believes himself to have found appears to have become embellished out of recognition, now reaching -and being supported by- the higher echelons. He's willing to brag about this whilst refusing to post what he believes he's discovered. Sadly the more he pushes the story that 'those in high places' are interested in 'his' work, taunting us with the story that he's been advised not to reveal it in case the opposition get hold of it, the less likely he is to be believed.
David didn't realise that someone would guess the gist of his 'forensic breakthrough' and thought he'd play the big I am and like you say 'taunt' various posters. The irony is, had he not done that to me, I wouldn't have guessed what it entailed. However, had he really been told not to reveal 'his' find, he wouldn't have mentioned it at all. I imagine the legal team wouldn't be too happy with the way this has played out. The drama of asking NGB to post on his behalf instead of just keeping quiet. He said he announced it to we could debate? Debate what? Given that he wasn't going to reveal what the report entailed, the only thing that could be debated is David's favourite subject - HIMSELF!
Since then, every opinion, assumption or idea he has, he treats as fact and we're 'unhinged' if we dare to question his posts. He knows the forum pictures are of poor quality and can't back up his claim that June was in a more developed stage of hypostasis so he decided to suggest that the legal team have given him official crime scene pictures, but once again, he can't reveal them. How convenient and coincidental. David doesn't believe in coincidences - well, when they involve David - NEITHER DO I!
Why would Jeremy's lawyers give David official crime scene pictures? This isn't a game to them!
