I feel it would be a mistake to underestimate Trudi, appealing as she does to the non-partisan housewife with time on her hands, who might just be persuaded by her over the strains of a flat-picking guitar to write to this mass murderer..

I can't imagine the effect on Colin, Jan and others connected with the case who lost loved ones to be handed a Bamber pen or spot a window sticker on the car in front declaring his innocence.
