OMG!!! NaNu, you've convinced me that I really am poorly because your kind words made me weepy!!! Nevertheless THANKYOU I have an appointment with my surgery nurse at 4pm.

BP, which has been high since I was in my 20's is well looked after, a life long digestive problem, the same. I've never had flu, but I'm assured that I wouldn't be able to leave my bed if I had it, so as I'm walking I have to assume I haven't. Had to look long and hard for the paracetamol. I last bought some in Jan, 2009, when I went to Egypt, since when I've only taken 2!!!!! I feel very sure that those of us lucky enough to have good health, think we're dying if we sneeze

So glad to hear it,April. It just shows what can happen in a couple of days. Chest infection is horrible.

OMG! That reminds me.... I once got the flu during the day at work and went home to bed. Someone had told me that I should drink some Snapps ( Danish Aquavite) and tea. Soooo, I did. Lay under the covers, and it got cosier and cosier. I had the TV on - there was this show with a Danish singer singing sailor songs (something I would normally NEVER watch!) - So when my then partner got home, I was RATHER drunk, laying there singing sailor songs at the top of my lungs! Jeeez!

had a cold 2 weeks ago had to cancel my stay in a convent so a bottle of neat brandy sorted the cold .
