what book can you remember.
There have been snippets here and there about Julie having made a success of her life in Canada, though nothing which specifically states that she is blissfully happy. Here her father describes her as "a very strong personality..a very honest person."

Here is an extract from a newspaper in 1986 as the trial was on going.

Its quoting Rivlin QCs comments about Julie Mugford that was presented to the Jury.

Very interesting, I wish I had a trial transcript  :-\
There was no need for her to devise the hitman story, nor to risk telling Police Jeremy told her "a glove came off in the fight"(with Nevill), so carried away and detached from reality he had become.

No matter what Adam thinks Julie was far from pure as driven snow.
She was involved with cheque book fraud, she was involved in the caravan site burglary, and was involved with bringing in drugs for her mates.
She was no angel, and had a lot of charges dropped for her testimony against Jeremy.
Often wondered why she had to skidaddle to Canada to teach. Was it because she was unemployable in this country?
Maybe some of her pupils would have found her NOW photo's.
You know what people are like with their " no smoke without fire" mentality. Julie was redeployed within the Inner London Education Authority and taught for a further two years before embarking on a round the world trip (and who could blame her?),where she met her future husband, a Canadian, whom she joined in Winnipeg to start a new life after marrying in Essex.

It must surely be the Christian thing to do, whatever one's personal feelings in the matter, to forgive Julie for her past misdeeds or miscalculations, depending on your point of view, and to wish her well in her new life. Had she ended up on welfare on a Chelmsford housing estate the Jeremy-is-innocent crowd would have made sure we never heard the last of it.

I was taking the pee Nugs, I have no idea what Julie is doing and it's none of my business. However, Jackie would like nothing better then for Julie to be miserable - so I said she was happy, which I'm sure she is.

Yes, I think we can all recall the apparent joy and pride in the announcement that allegedly, because of the ramifications of the case, there was a rift in her marital harmony.
