North Essex countryside looks a stunning place to be during a decent english summer.  I wonder if April is going to be our summer this year... or if we are actually heading for a 'scorcher'?  8)

Do people in that neck of the woods travel over the border in to Suffolk much? I expect it will be the same kind of countryside, farms and villages there?  Maybe a bit of rivalry?

I'm afraid this is the best I can do for my neck of the woods...  It's 30 mins walk from where I live.

I'm meant to be going to Framlingham Castle in Suffolk next weekend.  All very pretty on Essex/Suffolk border - Constable country.

Indeed it is. We stayed in Coggeshall a couple of weekends ago and spent hours driving round the North Essex/South Suffolk area. It's lovely round there - we're thinking of moving there from London.

It's a funny old place for unsolved murders though. My girlfriend used to love in Coggeshall and her doctor at the time was Robert Jones... http://www.truecrimelibrary.com/crime_series_show.php?series_number=11&id=1403

It is stunning, Rocky, it's all a bit Mid Summer Murders too, isn't it? Your neck of the woods looks lovely too.

Me thinks John may be a Mason? ;) the dodgy handshake club. And he doesn't like the idea of their good name being tarnished by a murderer? No chance of a coverup there then. ::)

I am absolutely furious that my personal messages appear to have been hacked into and I have received emails from someone who is clearly someone else.
