I would say it was all part of giving him a alibi, he could be heard driving off and his car being parked up at home? Neighbours hearing him at home?

yes thats a point.

i was just thinking doing it there would be much less problmatic in many ways but at the same time it could leave him with less of an albi.

So he stays at WHF. Kills everyone. Rings the police from WHF.

Then tells the police Sheila killed everyone but spared me. Then she committed suicide.

Or he could say he 'slept like a log' and woke up to find everyone dead.

I think going home was a good idea.

Agreed. And the whole phone call alibi.

He could have done hundreds of different things, but he didn't. He did what he did.

Also Nugs if you think about it,  much easier to kill when people are asleep, it would have been much harder had they all been awake. I think about 2.00am would be the time that people are in their deepest sleep.  Could be this is why Sheila's bed did not appear to have been slept in if we go by the PH and the letter, maybe Sheila was aware Jeremy would return and she was restless and waiting for him?  Food for thought?

hello Justice

I think Sheila did know Jeremy was returning and she did not go to bed and I think they had a plan and Jeremy double crossed her.  Poor Sheila.

I wonder if the telephone call idea came to him upon receipt of his new answering machine. Did he resent paying for the refurbishment of Bourtree Cottage which his parents had shoved him into whilst the twins were residing in his bedroom at White House Farm?

Was there really nothing left in the familial relationship,no redeeming feature in his parents as he opened the master bedroom and switched on the light..uninhibited as he chased Nevill downstairs and bashed him with the rifle stock in an orgy of pent- up violence, legitimate recompense for his wilful abandonment as he laboured one further hour on the tractor in solitary insolence, the Farm silhouetted against the waning moon, sentient human beings within, yet with whom Jeremy had long since failed to communicate.

I don't think Sheila was capable of it by this stage, being a shell of her former self. It's what gave Jeremy the idea of leading her passively to her own death, which may have been a merciful release in one way,but compounded in wickedness by the loss of her boys,to which she would never have agreed.

Steve I don't think Sheila knew she was going to loose her boys maybe just her Mother we have asked so many times on here where was Sheila whilst Jeremy was shooting his family why did she not put up a struggle I am not clear in my mind what happened I just think Jeremy murdered his family and Sheila was involved but not in any killings.
