It's NOT my favourite use of the word--------------it's YOURS !!
My mother hated the word and it was NEVER said in our house. We called it " fibbing ". So you see,it's not me who's not been brought up decently !!
Hahaha! It's rather pathetic, at YOUR age, to play the "My mother would have hated it" card, don't you think -and nothing would ever have changed, OR would have been very wrong if we'd never done other than what our mothers approved. NOR do I imagine you'll be very popular for suggesting that you're the ONLY one here who was bought up 'decently'...................I'll grant it probably ISN'T your favourite word -something to do with guilt about mother's disapproval perhaps- but it didn't stop you using it, did it?
