Alias if it means anything I have always found you a very level headed great poster who can be firm when you need to be but you don't hold a grudge and you contribute so much to the forum.  Some comments can be so offensive to one poster whereas another will laugh it off we all should try and respect how another person reacts to our posts.

That's all very well Susan but if people take the debate personally you're never going to be able to NOT offend everyone. You can't be expected to walk on eggshells simply to express an opinion about a convicted killer?

Caroline I do understand what you are saying and it is always difficult not to offend somebody I have done it myself on here then felt terrible afterwards so now I try and avoid  situations i.e. I never challenge other posts guess this makes me boring but so let it be :'( I just wish we could all get on we use to do.

I suppose we could simply agree with everything everyone says but it would be less than honest. I know I'd get myself getting in horrible muddles as a result.

No it doesn't make you boring but what kind of a debate would there be if no one challenged anything and how much BS would be taken as fact?

Its not a case of agreeing though April its how you/all of us put a post together that can cause someone to be offended. Mindful, being the key word.

Can we please continue to debate though, and not get personal towards each other, because it achieves nothing at the end of the day....

We all used to get on and there is no reason that should not continue......

Can we have a happy hour! Drinks are on meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Caroline if I am being honest I don't have the knowledge or the confidence to challenge any posts. I read all the posts and feel I do learn something daily but due to the fact I was until recently on a Dial Up connection :'( I was not able to download material from the archives.,  Now the problem is I am on a new laptop and system and have not yet worked out how to get the sound on with the Video's so can only watch the pictures ;D ;D ;D guess I am a lost cause.

You can be as polite as you like and someone will take offence simply because it's a different opinion and a negative comment in respect to Jeremy. It's a fact that people take comments about Jeremy personally and it hinders debate.

I donĀ“t think people feel sorry for me, but skippy the wonderful chose to sink so low as to claim it, probably because I was winning over him in a debate.  ;)
