David, we have a couple of recent pictures of Ann Eaton inside WHF. The Aga is still there, but is white, I believe the second photo is from June and Nevill´s bedroom. Same closets, same chair, so yes, they pretty much kept it as it was.

Hi David. It is true that the farmhouse was kept pretty much the same until at least 2002. As in the same decor and a lot of the original furnishings.

Jan think I read that they left it almost as it was for any filming that may have  been done.  This is just what I have read and have no source to verify this

 I don't know about now,but at first there was an old lampshade which had  probably seen better days,festooned with blood spots.Wall paper too had the odd splash here and there,then we musn't forget the cobweb in the cupboard which had blood on it which AE rang the police about.1991,I think.

A stranger question which AE posed was why so much carpet had been cut away ? 

I couldn't have gone in there, as prior to the murders, going back years,were another couple of sad events. No way would I have ever settled there.

I just see that it is the same wallpaper - and possibly the same rug - in the bedroom. It is a bit strange. To me it is anyway, people are different.

Didn´t Ann Eaton say that her children had nightmares after they moved to the farm?

There is a photograph of another angle of the main bedroom in the photo thread,that I believe was taken before the 2002 appeal. I understand that the carpet was taken up in order to try to recover blood from the floorboards. The photo shows the Eaton's bed with some items upon it and over to the left of the room there are books on shelves and a mans dark coloured polo top on a hanger,if I remember correctly. Sorry,I dont know how to bring the photo over from the other thread.

Hahaha Brilliant Tyler, was just going to post it for and you beat me to it. 

Still very much the same.  There is a comment made by AE in her COLP statement, something about "Jeremy wanted to keep the house as shrine and would not allow any changes to the house inside and he still wont budge to this day" or something like that? ....I've never been sure about what she meant....

There are people who turn things into a shrine, they will leave things exactly as it was as if the victims still live there.  She didn't do that though she moved in and changed what she wanted to. Obviously for a historical place you are not going to do significant renovation changes just decor/furniture changes o suit your own taste.

I much prefer life going on to the kind of crap they did in SandyHook Connecticut.  They decided to demolish the school where Adam Lanza went on his rampage and to build a new one.  What a waste to demolish a perfectly fine building to put up another jkust because peopel have mental problems over the tragedy.  Demolishing the building is not going to heal their mental problems they should be dealt with through counseling etc.

They also plan to demolish the mansion the Lanza's lived in which is another waste to me.  I have to laugh at people who are supposedly so environmental conscious that they waste resources so readily for emotional problems.

I think demolishing a historical place because there was a tragedy would be another tragedy and huge waste so am glad WHF was not demolished.
