Wallet Gate Update .....
« on: January 30, 2015, 06:35:PM »
Just to let you all know that I received a letter from Jeremy today and he said that he mentioned 'no amount' when asking about the wallet. He said he doesn't remember the incident that well but that he is sure he didn't mention an amount. I am happy that he has now answered and accept his reply. It's now a case of Jeremy's word against AE's

Did you write to him again ? Or has he been reading this forum ?

Oh sorry I forgot he has no influence from inside his cell.

In all fairness I think the whole business about the wallet defeats the issue really in a way that, not only is it misleading its not that important and it strays away from the more important issues of, did he do it or not. Personally, I don't think the wallet has no baring whatsoever on the case.

Pleased that he has replied to you though, but it must be difficult to remember what was said almost 30 years ago. I don't remember what I said yesterday, let alone 30 years ago.

I think he might have said 4-500 to make AE and her father feel bad about taking the wallet - without having a clue what actually was in it.
And either he doesn´t remember or he doesn´t like to admit to it.

Could be.

Hardly "Wallet Gate".

What's important to you, might not be important to someone else. If you don't think it's important don't comment - that's generally what I do.

That was a joke Alias because it rhymed with 'update'! People here have lost their sense of humour!

But he didn't make it up to make either AE feel guilty, 'he said' he didn't know they had taken it until 'after' the COLP investigation.

Patti that reminds me about a few days ago when I was tidying my purse of papers/receipts and the usual rubbish that you shove in your purse, when I found a £10 note which I'd folded into a small square. I can't for the life of me remember doing it, why,or how long it had been there.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thank you, my sense of humour is intact, but how on Earth could I know it is suddenly a joke what you say about the wallet. In the past you have been dead-serious about it!

Do you still think Jeremy searched Nevill´s wallet after killing them all? A little detail: would he have been wearing gloves?
