It was easy to blame Jeremy out of two people when one of them was dead. If that's solving murders, then I think I'll join up.It seems easy-peasy. How to solve a murder without even trying.

But they didn't blame him initially.

I can't answer for what he didn't do, I can only suggest that if any on e of us has our minds FIRMLY and IMMOVABLY set -a la Adam- it becomes VERY difficult to change it. Especially so if we're under pressure.

Sure, but to me it seems like the top most stupid thing I´ve ever heard about. Ooops had to shoot her twice - oh, heck, I´ll still stage that suicide I planned all along.
That is where I stand, and it is hard to convince me otherwise!   8)

Because he needed the call to show he was elsewhere when the murders occurred.

That phonecall didn´t even show that. A little thin.

Prisons are full of stupid people who in hindsight, might have done things a whole lot differently. I think he did it and that's where I stand. I'm certainly not trying to convince anyone  8)

It did initially - if they hadn't believed it, they wouldn't have bothered with the siege. It worked for him in the early stages, then it helped convict him.

I would agree that it wasn't the brightest thing to do and given time and other circumstances he may have done something other, but the worst that can happen always seems FAR worse when everything preceding has gone really well.

Plus, if he could convince the police he was elsewhere when it happened, he's have a better chance of getting away with it.

I have never heard of another case where a multiple shot murder was staged as a suicide.

You sound like you're just thinking out loud. I'm certain it wasn't planned as "a TWO shot murder" to be "staged as a suicide."

There probably are some but, even if there aren't any, it doesn't mean to say it's not what happened here.

I agree, he had no choice but to go ahead and hope that the phone call would convince the police that he was home at the time of the murders.
