Chris Neville:
« on: January 03, 2015, 08:26:PM »
Not much is known about him. Although Jeremy spent a lot of time with him abroad.

Rumours are Bamber left New Zealand in a hurry after a row with Chris Neville's sister about some money.

Chris Neville also stayed with the Bambers for several months in 1985. If he was still there on the massacre night, surely the massacre attempt would not have been made. Jeremy would not risk going up against two men.

Chris Neville told David Boutflour that Jeremy had a very low regard and lack of respect for June & Neville. Especially June, treating her with contempt and being rude to her.

Bamber has never denied he had a very poor relationship with June. Testifying this in court and agreeing with Mary Mugford's damning testimony. Come to think of it he has not said many complimentary things about Neville either.

Does anyone have any other information on Chris Neville ?

Here is the thread on Mary Mugford's testimony. Regarding Jeremy & June's relationship.

Jeremy said himself the relationship effectively ended in 1978. Although MM said he never forgave her for sending him to boarding school. So it could be 18 years.

Seven years. Eighteen years. Either way a long time.

If you look at each relation who died and their relationship with the potential killer, it does seem much more likely that Jeremy was the killer -

Jeremy/June     - Terrible
Jeremy/ Neville - Volatile
Jeremy/ Sheila  - Resentful.
Jeremy / Twins - Vacant.

Sheila /June      - Poor
Sheila /Neville   - Excellent.
Sheila / Twins   - Loving.

I don´t think you know a thing about their relationships, it is just your opinion. Colin described Sheila´s relationship with her mother as extremely difficult and strained, and regardless of any progress Sheila might have made due to right medication, her condition ALWAYS deteriorated significantly when she was around her parents, especially June.

Well I am going by what I have read. As everyone is.

Bamber did not have a good word to say about any of his family the years before the massacre. But lots of bad words.

I suggest you buy Claire Powells' anti-Bamber book and read what she writes about Sheila, before sounding off all the time about Jeremy.

He didn't have many good words to say afterwards either. And still doesn't.

Telling the police to kill Crispy.  Then telling the police Sheila had committed child abuse. Which was a lie.

But he did groan at the funeral. AE said in her WS she was not convinced at Bambers crying the day after the massacre. If it was like the funeral tears, she was right.

Didn't Sheila call the twins the devil's children and that they tried to have sex with them?

I know Sheila & June did not get along.

It must be tough having a mother you see every few months. Who is paying for everything while you live in London.

Anyway, does Claire Powell's book mention Chris Neville ?

As you like books as your source read Colin Caffells . He states quite clearly that Sheila was the one that had a bad relationship with her Mother . He also says that Sheila was the one who did not like Jeremy . He felt that Jeremy did most of the time care for his sister. As he regarded himself close to Jeremy when he first went out with Sheila perhaps you might find it useful for a broader picture.

Are you going to finish the unanswered questions on the other thread first about the logs?

I have no doubt Sheila loved her sons, but her thoughts about them are highly disturbing. Women haters - especially Nicholas, poor little thing, devil´s children who were plotting to rape and kill her!

So her relationship to her children was loving and disturbing.

I heard you first time, and the answer to your last question is NO because she writes so much about Sheilas' escapades that she couldn't fit much else in.
