If Bamber was the killer and did not give Sheila's location any consideration, that explains her being in the main bedroom.

Colin Caffell said Sheila would have shot herself with the twins.

I responded to this earlier

How could Colin have known that 'she would have shot herself with her children' that's just his opinion. After all he did believe the Shelia had done it at first  ??? if he truly knew that she would die with the Kids he would have blown the case wide open against Jeremy from the start

So would shooting people. They would wake up no matter what. He would have needed to see properly - almost all the shots were hits. In the dark I doubt that could have been the case.

A silencer keeps the shooting quiet.

Maybe he turned the lights on in the main bedroom seconds before shooting June and Neville. My view is there would be enough natural light. He knew where the bed was.

I agree david, as no one knows what happened that night and no one knows what was going on in Sheila's mind if she was the killer, so how on earth can anyone know where and why she would have chosen to die.  Assumptions are not acceptable as proof as far as I am aware.

Colin Caffell knew her better than anyone else still alive.  But if supporters don't want to accept his opinion, feel free.

I have no trouble accepting his opinion but that is all it is.  Colin and Sheila had moved on and I would doubt Colin knew Sheila very well at all, or anyone else for that matter as her illness appears to have made her very unpredictable. :-\

Unpredictable. You can say that again.

When you think about it, Colin saying that Sheila would commit suicide with her sons and not with June in the same room is telling.
He is willing to "go there" in his mind; meaning considering her having committed suicide. He didn´t say: "She would never have committed suicide."
He even said upon learning about the tragedy: "She FINALLY did it."

All very telling...

You mean Sheila had been threatening to kill everyone ? Mother, father, sons and herself.

It seems that Jeremy was the only one aware of this. Telling the police on the night 'Sheila should be locked up'. Guess Neville and June just paid the medical bills.

She had talked about the twins killing her, so yes, she had had very, very strange thoughts!

That cuts both ways. The only reason he knew she contemplated suicide in the past was because Ferguson told him it wasn't from personal experience.  In turn that was why he initially thought she might have actually been responsible.

His opinion of her dying with kids actually speaks to many murder suicides by parents.  They typically kill themselves in the same room as their kids/spouse.  Killing a parent is unusual when that parent is neither acting as their guardian (thus an authority figure they are rebelling against) nor a burden to the child by the parent having to take care of the parent.  So that alone made things seem suspicious and sets the scene apart from usual paradigms.

But wasn´t that exactly the case with Sheila? She had never lived independently of her parents. She depended on money, flat, food, medical bills - everything from them, probably also emotional support and let´s not forget, the control that comes with all of that. Colin too while they were married. Car, flat and on and on. Never independent.

I agree with you!

And he was indicating that he accepted she could have killed herself and her children - so what does that tell you.?

Perhaps she just did not get as far as their room and heard the police breaking in?

Who knows?

You think Sheila killed her mother, father, children and herself. Jeremy snoozing at home and getting wrapped up in it and then framed after Neville called him ?

Well Bamber has always claimed it was Sheila. Colin Caffell is simply saying 'if' it was, she would have shot herself with her twins. Which sounds plausible, people testified she was a loving mother.

As far as I'm aware, Colin accepted that she could have killed herself, but not that she killed the children. He accepted it only because that's what he was told by the police.
