What Happens Next
« on: April 06, 2011, 02:31:PM »
Following the CCRC's decision on 11 February 2011, the CCRC gave JB and his legal team a further three months to respond to their comments (and, I believe, add any new evidence).

We are about a month away for JB and his legal team to submit that response.

Following JB's legal teams submission say on or before 11 May 2011, does anyone know what happens after that and how long it will take for the CCRC to respond?

If he wins an Appeal are we all up for a pint at Goldhanger  ;) ?

JB has said that there will be a lot of material submitted to the CCRC in response to their document outlining the reasons for their provisional decision not to refer the case again to the Court of Appeal. This material will include additional scientific evidence.  In addition from what Mike Tesko has said there is completely new material which JB's team are intending to present.  In view of this I suspect that the CCRC will take several months to make their final decision.

No to meeting JB, but it would be interesting to meet some of the forum and exchange views over a drink.

I don't post as much now as I'm suffering from guilty/not guilty burn out, but continue to enjoy the interesting points of view.

However I think a meet is still some way off, unless Mike comments about a "conversation" between the police and SC exists. Unfortunately, we have been down the carrot dangling path before  ::)

I guess the several months is right, but if Mike's comment's on the thread "Alive alive O - documentary and audio evidence" are to be believed the CCRC will have to or could react a lot earlier.

Great suggestion to all meet up.
Pub in Goldhanger looks great. I,m sure the landlord has some good tales. He may even crack the case, although I doubt it. Would be nice to see you lot, as I can say what I think without a smite.
I agree with grahame on this as we all have an opinion and this smiting is c***.
Hartley has got loads of smites, yet he talks a lot of sense. Smite me I don,t care.
