They'd both go in the cupboard,Patti------on an angle. Those cases were of a canvas material,so stiff enough to stand up by themselves.

The one behind the door in its case would have been AP's ? If it was in its case ? That's the confusion.
If AP said he'd taken the bolt home with him,it meant that his rifle still remained at WHF,yet it was then said that his rifle wasn't there ? Was the confusion because it was only licensed to be kept at WHF and not his own home,and that he feared he get into trouble for having a weapon in his possession when it should have been at the place it was licensed at ? Debateable.
