Caroline, like you, I thought Bamber was innocent.

I ended up clutching at straws and looking desperate. In the end I accepted what had been staring me in the face all along. Guilty. Bamber will never get out of prison, except in a box.

Yes, I realised I was making excuses and they became less and less convincing. The phone call never made sense and I never did manage to reconcile it. However it was his evasiveness when I asked about the wallet that pushed me over the edge. He remembered that I had asked a 'specific question' and he remembered the answer but said he couldn't remember the question. That doesn't make sense - both the answer and the fact that the question was 'specific' would have been queues to aid his memory OR he could have just read the letter again. He was evasive because he didn't want to commit himself to an definite answer because that way, he couldn't get caught out in a lie.

That evasiveness says everything, doesn't it.
The pictures of Sheila was another sticking point for me, amongst others. You're right about making excuses, I did the same thing and like I said, came away looking desperate.

What's happening on the legal front Caroline? Is he preparing another shot at the CCRC?

I'm really not sure Andrea, last I heard from him, he said he was but that was about a year ago now. I did also read that something was being prepared but it doesn't seem to be making any headway?

Surely they must be preparing something?

If he does have another shot I can't see the CCRC rushing to deal with it. Could take years for it to be heard.
Is he still in Full Sutton? How long has he been in there?

Supposedly, perhaps NGB knows more?

They have to use evidence that hasn't been put forward before_ is that correct?

Yes, he's still there - not sure how long he's been there though but it has to be before 2004 because he was there when he was attacked.

Yes, that's correct but I 'think' if they have new evidence on a point that has been presented before - it would be allowed.

So could they present evidence on the pig skin test again if they were finalised?

I assume so but not 100% sure. I don't understand how that would end up in his freedom? If the suggestion is that the burn marks were made without a silencer, surely the counter argument would be that he removed it before making the marks?

That is is what I had thought also.  :-\

I'm quite confident that something in Jeremys' favour will show up sooner or later. :)

There are two pendant light fittings, one is roughly opposite the door to the spiral stairs and the other is closer to the kitchen sink. It was the one closest to the sink that was damaged (I think :-\ ).

A correction to the above. It was the light furthest from the sink which was broken (this is noted in Ann's COLP statement).
