I never believed that Jeremy went outside to shoot rabbits.
I think perhaps the discussion inside was embarrassing or unpleasant for him, so he grabbed the gun and went outside on the pretence of hearing rabbits. Just needed an excuse to go outside.
Did he claim to go out before or after he ate?

You act as if there were some witness who said Jeremy did go outside with a gun.  If he wanted to leave he could simply have gone outside to finish the work he left undone that Nevill ended up having to finish.  For all we know he make up being in the kitchen and the conversation that he claims took place that night as well.

He claimed it was after he ate, but why would he load the magazine in the kitchen if he didn't want to be around the conversation?  He could have loaded it in the office.

His claim of loading the gun was to acocunt for why his fingerprints could be on the gun/bullet casings and more importantly to suggest that Sheila had a wepaon of opportunity in front of her to grab.  If the magazine were not loaded then as she loaded it Nevill could have grabbed the gun (you can't load the magazine with one hand). He even claimed he left out the bullets but botched that aspect.  There were too many bullets to fit his story so that proves he staged the bullets after the murders.  That means there is no reason to believe the rest of the story about leaving the gun out either.

did he load the gun or was it already loaded.

He said he loaded it in the kitchen. He took a full or near full box of ammo, dumped it out next to the phone and then loaded the rounds into the magazine.  He also claimed that after he came back inside he unloaded the round from the chamber and stuck it back in the magazine.

The whole story is obviously made up though and the smoking gun is that the bullets were next to the phone but 30 remained.   Even if the box had been full with 50 that means there should only have been 25 left.  So the bullets were obviously staged after the murders not sitting there and the source of ammunition for the murders as claimed.

Alias he said he was in a hurry as the last trailer needed bringing back to the farm and he was doing it yet he had the time to load the rifle on the pretext of shooting rabbits but came in shortly after and said they had disappeared. According to AE;s statement him and Brett were loading the van with antiques from WHF to sell in London.

People often act in irrational ways. My sister always sits around for hours in her coat saying she is on her way and in a hurry, but she never leaves!! ;D

There must be some accurate accounts of what Jeremy sold, when it was etc.

He didn't shoot anything, he didn't even fire the gun.  There is no evidence he loaded the gun and went outside with it as he claimed.  He couldn't just say I took the gun out and loaded it to play with it and left it in the kitchen for Sheila to find.  So he made up the story about the rabbits as away to pretend the gun was there and even extra ammo for her pleasure.

He didn't try to wipe down the shell casings though no prints ended up being found on them.  In contrast one of his prints ended up being on the weapon. He told Julie a glove came off during the struggle with Nevill and therefore a print could have ended up on the gun.  out of such concern could be why he made up the rabbit tale though he also wanted to make up an excuse to leave the gun out anyway because SHeial would not have been likely to go look for the gun herself.

Ha Ha alias but your sister did not have to return a trailer to the farm before it got too dark.  Not sure what the antiques were Caroline or Harters will know.
