New book releases. Anyone excited ?

  Thanks for that, ngb. Do you know what the cause of the delays are? Are there legal issues or just lack of enough interest?

There were some legal issues I believe in relation to two of the books.  This resulted in delays and may be a factor in a decision to postpone publication indefinitely.  I think however that there have been other factors involved.

well if somones trying to block them it means they must contains information that's never been heard before.

mind you they cant block publication for ever.

 It would appear that they can,nugs,with all the " breaches " around. Some people seem to think that they're above the law, when it comes to do's and dont's----------such as the law stands at the moment.

at the end of the day the author can always self publish very little they can do about that.

If you take the case of the McCanns and Amaral and his book.They went to court to try and stop it from being published,but failed in their bid,but that was Portugal of course.Whether it's any different here,I don't know,but one needs money in order to even get an injunction,let alone a court order to halt its publication.

There have been very lengthy delays in the case of each of the three books.  A firm publication date (I believe 12th April this year) was set for Carol Ann Lee's book.  The date passed with no comment from the publisher and no new date fixed.  Mason Doyle's book was due to be published last year and was then put back to early this year.  Again no publication date has been set and I have doubts whether it will ever be published now.  Andrew Hunter's book has not been finished as far as I know and again I have doubts whether it will ever see the light of day.

I do know a bit more than this and I have drawn certain conclusions from that information.  I may of course be completely wrong, and we see three new books published later this year.

they would have trouble stoping it being published abroad but then i doubt if there would that much intrest in the bamber case abroad.

How many copies are you planning to buy?  I don't know how financially viable books even are these days given the ebook fad.  I think they would have had substantially more sales when this was a hot topic in the press than they would now. That could be part of the problem.  People have short memories.
