No , I am agreeing with you  :)

but because he would not have seen the whole horror of the scene with his own eyes or had to efficiently get rid of all the evidence he could of ( in his plans ) stood next to the police without being in total shock .

my argument is that I don't see how anyone even if they had planned the murder could know how they would themselves react with all that adrenaline coursing round their bodies.

If you cant be broadminded enough to answer from both sides then please don't comment :)

1) if Jeremy was guilty and Julie was telling the truth - why would he tell her the story about the hit man? He previously had no problem with telling her he was going to kill his family by drugging them  and burning the house down. He had told her on the phone that "tonight is the night" . She had lain in bed and in her own words she knew he had done it. So why would he tell her that a hit man was involved . In the eyes of the law  the intent was the same So why would he do that?

2) If he is innocent who came up with the hit man story and why? Did it fit the crime in some way? And especially to come up with a name ?

1. An odd one this. If he'd spent the best part of a year discussing a murder with her, I think it's reasonable to assume that she made some sort of contribution to the conversation. We know she  contributed sleeping pills so she was closely involved. What would have made Jeremy bring in a hitman at the last minute?

2. Julie told a story so wild that she thought no one would believe it.

I should clarify my last point

when questioning Julie  " we know Jeremy is involved but we think someone helped him. Is there anyone in your group of friends who might have knowledge of weapons or the ability to do this ? Could Jeremy have paid this person?

JM - There is one person I can think of   MM -  and then the police rush to question him?

OK then. Julie was asked what you suggest, and she said BRETT COLLINS!!! Then, Ooooops, she remembered he was in Greece, or she didn´t know he was in Greece, and quickly came up with the name, MM!  ;D
She HATED Brett Collins and was jealous of him - tried to stab a teddy bear he gave her..... I can just see her!  :P

Alias  I have thought maybe Jeremy had an accomplice and he may have been behind the murders but not actually carried them out this would explain how he passed the polygraph test i.e. he was asked did you shoot  your family he answered No could have been the correct answer.

That's always the question I keep coming back to, but if he's a psychopath he wouldn't be subject to the same reactions as the rest of us.

Could be, but I don´t think an accomplice would have carried out all the murders.

So do you mean the police were hassling her to come up with something to incriminate Jeremy and that is just what came out? Little lies lead to bigger ones?

Must be 29 by now.  :-\

I think it's just an annual psychological assessment for human rights purposes, to ensure he is fit to be locked up.

Susan, HELLO :) :) The problem I have is that I'm not able to feel nothing -'scuse the double negative :D. All I can do is imagine what sort of state I'd be in if I'd committed such a crime. If Jeremy had even come close to that his teeth would have been chattering, he'd have been shaking like a leaf and he wouldn't have needed to feign vomiting............................but not if he was a psychopath.

jansus/april

I think Jeremy Bamber may have boasted of what he was going to do maybe acting the big man acting macho like breaking into the caravan park shows he was capable of acting underhand to people who had been so good to him I have never thought he actually discussed killing his family with Julie in a serious way she would have been afraid of him thinking she was going to be next. MacDonald as a hitman is a joke IMO.

Obviously we only rely on others for accounts of his behaviour, but from how it appears, he was remarkably calm even if he was innocent.  :-\

Jeremy wasn't vomiting. He was just wretching after being given the whisky, and mixed with shock,it would make you heave. So the lie about him pretending to be sick, was just that,a lie.
Whisky can make anyone heave at the best of times if they're not used to drinking it.

Then after that,it was said he sat down to a hearty breakfast, which was another lie. Two curled up pieces of bacon and probably a bit of cheese off the trap ( sarcasm ) was all the food he had in because he ate at the farmhouse when he was there.
