I am going to Wembley tomorrow for what will hopefully be the biggest day in the 110 year history of Hull City. One of the favourite terrace chants of Tigers fans is the self deprecating ditty sung to the tune of Tom Hark which is as follows,
No silverware but we don't care,
            We follow Hull City everywhere
a reference to the fact that in our 110 year history we have won no trophies.
After tomorrow we will hopefully have to change the lyrics . Wish us luck (we will probably need it).
    Up the Tigers  ;D ;D ;D

Gringo, I know absolutely NOTHING about Wembley or football, but you obvious excitement is contagious. Whatever the outcome, I hope you have a wonderful and memorable day...................but I hope the outcome is the one you want. :) :) :)

Whatever the outcome it will be memorable anyway thanks April. We are the underdogs and so are not going to be too disappointed if we lose but if we win Hull will be partying all week.

Oh gosh,no Maggie. I don't follow football. Not since Bill Shankley died,,as he was the best, and only manager that there ever was,,or ever will be. :(
Hull would obviously be my preference for tomorrow though.

Good to see a few of the forum members followed the day's events. We had a joyous day and partied anyway. There were 13 of us there together (should have realised maybe bad planning going in a group of 13) all family (wife, my two youngest daughters, brother, sister and brother in law and nieces) and we all had a party all day and night. Youngest was 15, oldest was 60 and we all ended up hoarse and mostly drunk.
As a Tigers fan you have to learn to be able to take what you can as success so on the positive side, we reached our first ever FA Cup Final, we have qualified for the Europa League for next season which means we will be playing in European competition for the first time in our history and we remain in the Premier League which makes it our most successful season ever despite losing so that is all excuse we need to claim success.
And our favourite terrace chant can remain unchanged
No silverware but we don't care,
      We follow Hull City everywhere.
      ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Gringo your club did you proud and I was watching the score and thought once over it was going to go to their way.  Well done to them anyway.

Yes Susan at 2-0 up we were beginning to dare to dream but the players gave their all, the fans gave their all and it was not quite enough  :) 8)
