R.I.P. Campion
« on: April 06, 2014, 05:50:PM »
It is my sad duty to inform the forum that Campion senior (Victor) passed away this morning (Sunday) at around 7am.
According to campion junior his passing was peaceful. He had been suffering for some time with a complaint that caused his health to deteriorate. Towards the end he apparently contracted brain cancer and was admitted to hospital. The doctors gave him around two months to live. But sadly this was not to be.
As Victor was well liked on the forum I think you all would with me wish to convey our condolences to Campion junior and also to Vic's daughters.

This is very sad news Grahame.  Campion senior was a well respected and liked member of the forum, with a great sense of humour.  He will be missed.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that Grahame - he always made me laugh with his outlandish sense of humour. My condolences to his son and family and friends. He will be sorely missed and we will ALL remember him with a great deal of fondness. RIP Campion (Victor) X

Grahame, Campion senior was a one off. He had a quirky sense of humour and his ability to think laterally was like a good cryptic crossword clue. My condolences to his family.

I would just like to add that for the record Campion senior was thoroughly convinced in Bamber's innocence and that he was well and truly fitted up so to speak. I respected him in this view as he had a very discerning mind.

I will certainly pass on the thoughts of all to his family. Although campion Junior asked me not to post anything (I think because he was afraid that he would receive abuse?) But I am sure that when he hears of your thoughts about him he will change his mind?
