I read that Julie once stole a packet of smarties when she waa 9. A pity the jury were told aboutthat.

That about says it all, you haven't got a clue - and that proves it.

It's called diverting attention away from points he won't/can't answer.

Just think you're clutching at straws a bit.

Julie was escorted. Went on her own. Who cares ?

She told the police about Jeremys involvement before the police knew anything about Susans cheque book fraud.

She also told them about the caravan break in straight away. Even though she knew she could be charged as an accomplice. She was telling the truth about that.

Yeah OK Adam - you continue with your little scenario's and leave the 'facts' to the rest of us - it's all quite obviously above your head.

Wasn't Julie's cheque book fraud in 1984 ?

So at least 9 months before Julie was interviewed by the police. Why an earth would she mention it to them ? She was discussing a savage massacre.

The hearing was two years after the bank fraud. Surprised the defence were allowed to bring it up. Desparation in a case they said themselves would be extremley hard to win ?

Completely - he doesn't understand. Or maybe he's doing it on purpose.

I think she herself cared. I think that she deliberately left it out of her testimony that she was accompanied by the same police officer who was investigating Jeremy Bamber to throw people off from that very fact. That it definitely was connecting her to the case against him. So that is the reason that it is a very important point.

Interesting point that Grahame. I feel it highlights Adam's modus operandi. He FREQUENTLY inserts remarks such as "So what" and "Who cares" because for him, the added "extras" seem to be irrelevant. Actually, they HAVE to be in order to make his case. So for him it's QUITE unnecessary that Julie didn't confess from choice. Julie confessed. For him there is no reason to admit to her being accompanied to the bank by a policeman. It is enough that she went. So he turns a Julie who was out to take revenge on the man who had humiliated her by dumping her and denying her the affluent future she had mapped out for herself -and how sweet would that revenge be if she could line her coffers at the same time- and a Julie who is nothing but entirely altruistic.

You know, I'd be REALLY interest to know if the tissues were really wet, that she howled into, during cross examination, in court.

In fact,,the more you think about it,the worse it becomes. At the 2002 appeal,it had been stated that the police had persuaded bank staff not to take action over the cheque fraud, even though the bank manager denied it,,but neverthless the statement indicated that the police influenced Mr Dovey.

JM would NOT have gone to the bank under her own volition. It was only when Stan Jones had reminded her that a criminal record would be put into place if she didn't " own up " ,,though without Jones by her side,,she still would have had a criminal record for theft/fraud.
I wonder if JM thought for one minute that this was blackmail ?

Yes it appears that there is more to this than meets the eye lookout? I think that Adam is desparate to play this down. If it were that unimportant then it would not have been mentioned at all in connection with this case. The police were obviously concerned about having a lilly white prise witness.

Julie apparently was perfectly fine with the fraud for several months - she only confessed to this when she had no other way out. She was also perfectly fine with being with an alleged mass murderer for a month.
Inevitably when looking at Julie´s actions, you end up with the conclusion: she looks very bad one way or the other!

P.S. I saw our resident troll referring to the fraud as "Susan´s". I would stop doing that, since we have it black on white that Julie, according to her, ventured into this criminal endeavour to impress Jeremy.
