She had 'gone crazy' before - the police weren't called. The word 'shooting' is lacking from the sentence. The words which Neville are alleged to have said don't give any indication about who (if anyone) is being threatened but the fact that you didn't know Jeremy mentioned calling Julie in his very FIRST statement - proves that you have not read enough to debate the case affectively.

Caroline, the chances were, he was very used to hearing those words said and "going crazy" has very different meaning according to one's own experience if the word, eg, maybe it had been the family expression for little more than being over excited..

That's what I thought,April. While Jeremy said to himself " not again ".
I imagine that Neville kept his cool at all times, except that latterly there may have been something in his voice that Jeremy hadn't heard before,so it would have left uncertainty in Jeremy,,and men don't panic like women do anyway. They don't have the same instinct.

Can you not attack me please. It is unprofessional for a moderator  You found one document I had not seen. So what ? I know a lot more than you.

Sheila had gone crazy before ? At WHF ? But she had not been there for a long time. Source please. And why were the police called this time ?

Oh and do tell me what Sheila could have been doing when Neville made his 10 word phone call. Or is Jeremys innocence based on 29 year old documents.

You place yourself in an attackable position by mods and members alike, especially after telling a person of considerable knowledge that you know more than they.

I can't imagine WHY anyone would go to that bother when you disregard everything others say, unless it's to tear it to pieces.

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm sure you will!  Whether the experts agreed that Sheila was capable of committing this crime or not, what I have always found interesting, is that a good few people who knew her well, initially believed that she was.

Sorry for going off topic Adam!

Colin Cafell must have known her quite well. His initial reaction: "She finally did it."

Neil,,sadly,it wouldn't be looked upon as impossible today,,as there have been many known cases since the WHF tragedy.

Finally massacred the family he allowed Sheila to stay with.

Colin Caffell did not look very upset when interviewed on TV, straight after conviction. I assume he sat through the trial.

Another relative expected the jury to reach a guilty verdict within a few minutes, so overwhelming was the evidence. The jury reached their decision quickly after a 19 day trial.
