She had put the gun away in a cupboard earlier on because she was worried about it lying around when the bots were in the house?

Yes Jansus, whilst it's true that Jeremy said he left the gun out, who is there to say that it remained where he's left it. We've heard on many occasions how he left a gun where Sheila could see it but it would have been impossible for him to second guess what happened to it after he left.

When Neville rang Jeremy,,would he not have said that Sheila " had the rifle ",,as opposed to him saying gun,,unless of course,it was a gun,,,which we know had her prints on it,,but that was never mentioned to my knowledge.

Isn't gun used as a blanket term for fire arms, Lookout?

Usually,April,,but I just wondered if Neville would have been the type to have said gun if he meant gun,,and rifle if he meant rifle. Also,,because Jeremy had left the rifle in the room off the back kitchen on the settle,,that it would have been the easiest to grab, hence Neville would have said " she's got hold of the rifle ".If you see what I'm getting at. Though obviously I wouldn't know if Neville did refer to the collection as all guns.

I can only say that none of my friends differentiate. They have a collection of "guns" which are kept in a "gun" cupboard and those they shoot "guns" with are called "Guns" :D :D :D

In a radio interview from prison, Jeremy is very clear about Nevill saying that Sheila had THE gun. Whatever that means. I can find the interview if somebody insists!  ;D

The reason I mentioned it was because Sheilas' fingerprints were found on a shotgun,,as because a passer-by mentioned that he'd heard a shot,it wouldn't have been from the rifle,as the sound is minimal compared to a shotgun.

The fact that there was even only one of Sheila's fingerprints on the gun should in itself throw doubt upon Bamber's conviction. As everyone stated that she never even picked up the gun let alone being able to shoot it?

I think its safe to assume that Ralph in common with many in those days had AWFUL gun practice thank goodness that today thing are much better. if a similar incident were to happen today there would I am sure be much more made of the sloppy attitude shown to the farms firearms.

id say the fact her prints are on 2 diffrent weapons proves she could use a gun.
