brett collins
« on: February 23, 2014, 11:16:PM »
hi from nz.  my name is marc payne. i knew brett in nz years before he left for europe and shared a flat with him in sydney when he returned. the bamber case was not big news down here, not many people would know about it. the only reason i do is because of brett telling me about it.   if you have questions about brett please get in touch.

What did Brett tell you about the case?

Does Brett think Jeremy to be innocent or guilty?

it was 1986 but i do remember brett telling me about the saga, how could i not remember something like that!  brett told me the sister was mad and jeremy did not do it.  but thats not really what i want to contribute to the forum. what i would like to contribute is my thoughts and opinion of the character of brett. he really was a very interesting man, in his way.  a gay guy who acted pretty straight and a used car salesman who gave the appearance of being a yuppie financier or  born with a silver spoon in his mouth type.

Well that's me amazed.  By the way, he sounds like a player / chancer.

Did Brett know Sheila?

I thought Brett was Jeremy's friend from Jeremy's trips abroad when Sheila remained in the UK.

a gay ocker would be th term    he was good at making money and completly obsessed by it and people who had it.    also he always looked as tho he had lots of it but really he had none. he drove a porsh but lived in a rented flat.     me, im differant, im not even sure if i spelt porsh right.    people thought he was charming when they first met him but like all players he burned thru people. me?  i thought he was a bit of a kunt but i liked him, like i said the guy really did have character.... maybe not the most genuine, but still a character. do you remember the tv series 'minder'  he was like arthur only he was good looking and looked like terry.

Kind of answers my question. It's been alleged that Jeremy Bamber stole two Cartier watches while in NZ, they were most like fake and perhaps acquired from  Brett Collins. I will move this topic onto the main main board (if you have no objections?) as it's relevant to the case and more people might see it.
