I'd say the guy wanting to see the warrant but what is a little disturbing is that the police officer wasn't even sure where he stood legally.

I can't rationalise this but....I can't stand the way that the Police stand there, with their hands tucked in their body warmers!

Yes, they become very intimidating. And when you refuse to divulge your details they then say that you are acting very suspiciously. In fact they instigate the whole process and this can escalate until they have a reason to arrest you and if you protest then they add another charge of resisting arrest.
