Exactly, April, we had a poster on here recently who said his father was working on repairs to the sea wall at the time of the murders and that parts of it were impassable at that time.   ;D

Thanks Maggie. I KNEW I didn't pull it out of the ether. MY name is APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clearly not true.
Why Snow Bitz, could you not be wrong, I remember Keira saying the sea wall was repaired around that time.  Did you live there in 1985??

It's clearly not true because we have a statement by Wilkinson who indicates that he had cycled the route, which was 6 foot wide, level and well maintained. If it was impassible then he would have mentioned it, or the defence would have made use of it.

It appears Jackall was misleading you.  ???

By the time Wilkinson did his ride the work, which MAY not even have been to the pathway but necessitated the pathway being blocked at night for safety purposes, was probably finished. Such things can be checked.

The statement is dated, October 17, 1985.

There is no proof the seawall had any significance in the case, I don“t want to use my few braincells on this matter - never have. It is pure speculation.

Well the statement was written in October so plenty of time for the improvements and maintenance work to have been carried out by then.

There has to be another track made on return ? Two bike tracks in less than an hour,in darkness ?
What a load of cobblers. Then Jeremy would have to lock all around the inside of the farmhouse, ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D. ( said like the Cadbury Smash potato advert ) How would he have got out ?
Someone well and truly lost the plot.

The statement at the beginning of this thread has now been added to the library.
