RWB really made a point of stressing about " sparing no expense " towards the Bamber offspring,by their parents. Private school, homes, cruise, money money money. So what ?? This was the business of the Bambers and no-one else's. It was not stated in a " kind " way,but a way in which it was begrudged.
I'm pretty good at reading between the lines ! Also,I can relate to the private school bit,as my late pa-in-law sent my eldest step-daughter to private school and had it in mind to send my own daughters when they were old enough,,but sadly it didn't materialise because of " in-house " squabbling about it.

I noted also that RWB had one of the twins' names wrong. That's how much interest he showed.
I'm sorry,,but there's more than a hint of bitterness in the statement.

Lookout, I noted how RWB labours the financial aspect of Nevill and June's relation ship with their children. Ann does exactly the same in her witness statement. It also strikes me that most of what RWB knows of Sheila ISN'T empirical. His information is gained from others.

So much prejudice and envy all round, it seems, against Jeremy.

And when you've been on the receiving end of it, you can smell it and taste it.

Money, money, money and money.
He seems quite annoyed that the Bambers spent THEIR money on THEIR children! I take it that RB spent some of his money on HIS children, so what is his problem?
Oh yes, the Bamber´s children were ADOPTED.
I don´t like this man ONE BIT!

Nor did I,Alias.A nasty-looking character to match his natue-------------covered up by the fact that he " made himself " a pillar of the community ! Neville wouldn't have had to have pushed himself like that because by his own right,he was the gentleman farmer in his day,and a respected member of the farming community,,honest and upright.

And it seems that his daughter is definitely a chip off the old one, Alias. In her witness statement she comments on the private school. She comments that the modelling course was paid for by Aunt June AND, GUESS WHAT!!!! Sheila's wedding was "all paid for by Uncle Nevill and Aunt June" She had probably been bought up hearing about all the money that Nevill and June had wasted on THAT pair, should have come to them.

That's about the extent of any conversation that was around the dinner table and beyond in their house.
It would appear that money was indeed their God. I bet they even had nightmares about it up to the time that Jeremy was convicted. Their greed far surpasses anything that might be decent about any of them. It's like a blooming disease.

Not that uncommon though lookout and certainly in such a situation.  They had their status, their law of succession and inheritance to defend, the money was 'family' and Sheila and Jeremy didn't even 'try' to understand how important that was, they had no right to the money as they were infiltrators in the extended families eyes. imo

Maggie/Lookout It occurs to me that such was their combined sense of injustice -I'm not including Pam in this- at where the family money would eventually find its' way to, that theirs was an anger looking for somewhere to explode, all evinced, IMO by RWB's telling words "How I loathe that boy"

I agree April, I wonder how much anger was also focussed on June and Nevill for daring to bring infiltrators into the family and spend money which was rightfully theirs on the infiltrators?   Makes you think really.
