However, please bare in mind the 'topic' of the threads when you reply. If you wish to discuss another matter, start a new thread. If your point is unrelated to the case, then please post in Off-Topic OR Other Cases (whichever is appropriate). Where and when possible (cuz the mods also have a life), we will remove any posts deemed to be off-topic or irrelevant to the case.

It does take a bit of self regulation on the part of regular members for this to succeed. Many members have a good rapport on the forum and this is sometimes carried in to threads on specific subjects.

So what is your opinion on badger culling?

I had £200 stolen from me yesterday. We knopw who did it but cannot prove it. Won't own up to it either the gutless swine. There I've managed to keep on topic. Or haven't I?

For this we'll let you off Grahame.  How awful, that is no joke, so sorry but only a gutless swine would do it in the first place.

I think it's vile! Worse even than going off topic - although that's bad enough

It does but there are some threads where the subject is completely lost. A new member complained a short while ago that they just couldn't work out the details because the threads were just 'waffle'. Not really a good first introduction to the case if people can't understand the details of it. It's difficult enough on it's own, without us adding to it. Nothing wrong with having a joke etc. I think we just need to be aware of going too far off course.

its like a private conversion going on in public it dosent really matter if the conversion kept short but often it isnt.
