But he seemed not to want anyone really close, which is why he has accommodated himself to prison life. It was Brett who stayed with him at the Maida Vale flat not Julie, and as for the relatives,if you suspected someone of mass murder it would be hard to approach them and stay civil.

Do forgive the observation Steve, but I really don't think you're in a position to know what ANYONE may, or not want. As for the relatives holding back because they suspected him of being a mass murderer, are you now trying to tell me that they had believed he would commit a terrible crime from the time he was adopted. Believe me, they probably wouldn't be the first to think along those lines.

Has he accommodated himself to prison life?

Eventually he states he realised he had no choice, that anger wouldn't get him anywhere so he learned acceptance.

That's a huge lesson Steve and the world would be a happier place if more people could learn that particular discipline imo.

It's easy in retrospect to mull over a conversation and realize its import. I'm quite sure thousands of conversations take place across the country daily where people are talking across one another.

Steve, if we are to take the supposed words "All is going well" it PREsupposes that Jeremy hadn't JUST speculated previously but had outlined a plan in which every i was dotted and every t was crossed. Not only that. It also presupposes that Julie knew in advance what was going to take place THAT night in order for "All is going well" to make any sort of sense.

As your response has no relevance to my post I can only assume that I have made a valid point and rather than respond you're sidetracking.

You cannot pick and choose like you do! I am surprised you even go into this phonecall, Mugsie really incriminates herself through it if you take it at face value (which I don´t, really, it makes no sense at all what she says)!!
Julie stated that Jeremy had been telling her about plans to kill his family for close to a year. He called her about 10 in the evening to tell her: "Tonight is the night, it´s now or never." To which Julie reacts as follows: A sigh of relief, he was not going through with it after all (????????)
Then later - allegedly after he had killed his family - he called again to say that "everything is going well, something is wrong at the farm (again: ??????), to which Julie reacts as follows: "Jeremy, go back to bed." And then went to sleep herself.
What a load of BS!! But of course you can explain it away as you do everything with totally and utterly illogical and unlikely scenarios put forward as fact.
I agree Alias, unless Julie was in on the plan before that evening, the phone calls as she reports them make no sense whatsoever.

Steve sometimes has said it was just mentioned a few times over the year, so how would she know what he was speaking of that night?

If he had spoken of it continually and she did know what he was hinting at then she was either in on it hoping to be a beneficiary or she knew all about it and stood back while he went ahead and killed them all, which makes her appear like an accessory.

Neither of these behaviours are anything to be proud of except she appears to admit them without embarrassment???

Why did Julie tell him to go back to sleep it's a bizarre reaction to someone who has just insinuated he has shot 5 members of his family imo.

Why was Julie never asked by the EP (officially, I am sure they DID ask her!) why she DID NOT WARN THE POOR FAMILY WHO WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED, she could have prevented it?
Where is that "little" snippet in all the paperwork?

Take another look at the words Maggie. "All is going well" could also mean "To plan" which says that that he was talking anout something she was already privy to OR it was part of her preplanned story. If we accept the former, why would she be concerned now, if she'd never tried to halt his plan previously. She'd have gone back to bed believing herself to be a rich bride to be.

I think she was and I think she was told they were after her too - that's where her crazy story began it's life.

Jeremy had threatened the family with annihilation by means of a fire the previous Christmas and it had all blown over. Julie must have thought he had forgotten about it,and like any normal person shut him up when he broached the subject. It's why I find his Freudian slips narrating Christmas stories so chilling, but I suppose he was pressured into this by those legally representing him.

No,but they suspected him the moment he opened his mouth that first morning in Goldhanger with the pack of lies it turned out to be.

To be honest, that is simply an example of how high they held him in their esteem.

Ann Eaton suspected him the same morning the murders took place - she took notes...

Very! I am actually sitting here shaking my head, because I cannot understand that behaviour just hours after you learned that your close family was savagely murdered, little kids and all.
AE did not seem that shocked or traumatised.
