It does seem a tad unfortunate that Sir Maurice Drake has presided over at least two highly controversial criminal convictions. Are there any more controversial cases that he has links to? In the legal establishment, are there judges that have a reputation for being linked to controversial cases more than other judges?

Hi Roch

I've posted about this previously.  As far as I can see these people are a quite literally a law unto themselves.  No one seems to keep tabs on them.  I would like to see a record of all MoJ's and the judges who presided over the original trials.  Also the QC's involved in MoJ's and whether or not correlations exist between majority verdicts v unanimous and referrals to CCRC and CoA.  Perhaps be an interesting exercise to look at recent MoJ's and then look at the trials to see who was involved and whether names repeat.

That's right,Maggie,a wonderful detective she was too. This knowledge would by its very nature have had a prejudicial effect upon the outcome of Jeremys' future.

Yes that's simply amazing!!!  Is it def the same person?  The info that Roch posted just refers to him being a pilot and then studying/practising law.

When did he leave WHF?  Did he know RB?  He must have known Mr and Mrs Speakman?

NN,,it was a White House which was in Herts or Hampshire and was connected to WHF. It's what was posted anyway.
I'm trying to find some numerology for Sheilas' scrawled letters that were in caps. So working on two things at once, and if there's a mistake, forgive me.

So far as it's known,,the two men knew each other.Sir Maurice Drakes' name is Also Freddie,,Maurice being his middle name. Like Neville,,his name of Ralph was more popular.

Mr Drake possibly also knew RWB too. Influence galore. Mr Rivlin wanted the trial outside Essex,,I wonder who did the swaying.?
The relatives also hit the roof when Jeremy wanted to do a media interview for a magazine. Crispin Blunt upset everyone by giving Jeremy the go-ahead,but the rellies kicked up such a stink that they would be distraught,so the then prisons minister gave in to them.
Perhaps it was because of what Jeremy was going to say------------that his cousins set him up.!
