It does seem a tad unfortunate that Sir Maurice Drake has presided over at least two highly controversial criminal convictions. Are there any more controversial cases that he has links to? In the legal establishment, are there judges that have a reputation for being linked to controversial cases more than other judges?

It beggars belief , that one judge could preside over two of the most controversial trials , this country as ever had , to my mind , it would be interesting to know where Drake was sitting in the year or so before both trials .
In the links above , he is very confident in his handling of the Bridgewater case , only to be contradicted by the defence at the appeal .
I remember him sounding the very same , on the television once regarding the Bamber trial !!
