Hi Patti

Not knitting that's for sure  ;) ;) ;). Not genealogy either as I thought Phyllis was a no, no.  Why would you call a child born in the late 50's Phyllis???

I can't stop laughing about Steve's post re social dawinism... Where does he dream up this stuff from?

I told you...go with what we have and not what we don't have....Anyway, if it wasn't for Caroline posting that document we would still be looking.....we gleaned a great deal from it, each sentence gave something away....

Not sure where her mother got that name from, and I am not sure Sheila knew her real name, if she did then she never revealed it....bless!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Steve_uk

Lol...are you serious..."social Darwinism"... ::) ::) ::)

Julie Mugford's statement date 14th Oct '85 states:

"I have been asked about a letter which I have mentioned to Karen Bishop.  I can say that on Wednesday 4th Sept '85 I was in Jeremy's car on the way back from Andy and Karen Bishop's house when I saw an envelope in the tape compartment of his car; I picked it up and saw that it had writing on it although I can't remember what.  As soon as I picked it up he took it from my hand and replaced it from where I had taken it.  I asked him who it was from and he told me that it was from his mother June and was to be opened in the event of her death.  He told me it had been written recently and was a letter apologising for the way his mother had sometimes treated him.  He said that his mother loved him, but he said that it didn't make any difference about the way he felt about her.  He just shrugged and laughed it off.

PLEASE CAN YOU PROVIDE THE EVIDENCE WHERE JB STATES "I'm glad she's dead".
Yes,it's in Chapter 14 of Blood Relations:

"Julie said she's stumbled on a letter which Jeremy had kept stuffed in the tape compartment of his car. It had been written by his mother,to be read in the event of her death. In it,June apologized for the way in which she'd sometimes treated him. Jeremy had just laughed at this letter, and declared that he was glad she was dead. Then there was Jeremy's obsession with money and material possessions. Julie had tried to persuade him that money wasn't everything, but over the summer Jeremy's obsession had grown even worse. This struck a response in Karen Bishop, who had noticed that Jeremy never missed an opportunity to talk about money, especially in the presence of his friend Brett Collins."

You can read the letter in Chapter 32,or here in #75.http://jeremybamberforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,3323.msg130636.html#msg130636

It's my belief that Jeremy blamed his mother for the splitting up of his relationship with Sue Ford, who returned to her husband in Jersey not before June had railed at him for committing a sin with a married woman, often having the bible to hand and quoting passages at length. It was at this time in 1982 that Jeremy split up with Suzette(did he consider his mother's moralizing to have put stress on their relationship and to have caused her miscarriages?),June was institutionalized again at  St. Andrew's,and Sheila and Colin divorced. This period was to my mind the turning point when Jeremy began to loathe his family.

Morning Susan

Yes my thoughts exactly.  What sort of woman agrees to pose, dressed like a hooker, for the tabloids in exchange for cash on the back of the 5 victims of the WHF tragedy.

Oh, JULIE did!? Julie who took money for every second of her police interviews! Everyone can claim money for sessions like that, but very few do. Julie was among those few....

.....and committed cheque book fraud, illegally sold cannabis, sold her "story" and posed luridly for cold  cash - on the back of an unspeakable tragedy....

Hi Steve_yuk

There are two versions and I have previously highlighted the anomalies: JM's wit stat and the excerpt from Wilkes' book.  Probably both hopelessly unreliable.  I will pm the 'lady in red' about uploading the relevant
stat.

Unlike SC, JB was able to wave off June's proselytising.  On JB's 21st, Jan '82, he went out to dinner with Suzette Ford and his parents - all was well.

Yes but there are subtle means of making clear that Suzette Ford wasn't a suitable suitress, and you can be sure that at that stage June played her part in the unfolding drama.
