It reminds me of a movie too - I sometimes watch Columbo in the early hours if I can't sleep - there have been one or two with elements of the Bamber case!!

I don't understand why police mentioned what he was wearing? He could have been wearing a pink elephant costume - but it wouldn't mean he was guilty!!

Caroline, did they have Onesies in those days????

Hi Caroline :)

That's right! So why mention it all. In my opinion they were setting their own scene and that was anything they could say that would implicate he was involved they would say it....The other one was. Jeremy had told one of the coppers he was going to buy a porche...How ludicrous is that and why bring both these points up in court? The porche was a kit car for 2k but it got twisted...I have seen the documents where the porche kit company had stated that Jeremy Bamber had approached them and made enquires about a kit porche...but they will have it that he was still lying....they were in fact misleading the jury on both account.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Jeremy's defence should have been more on the ball instead of making light of evidence that might have helped Jeremy. Feeding Bews with the 'trick of light' excuse has stuck and become part of the guilty argument - except is wasn't described as such until Rivlin's suggestion!! Quite conveniently, it isn't mentioned in either Bews or Myall's statements!!

Are you sure he had a defence Caroline? I have to smile sometimes when I look and see zilch from the defence...I think I heard through the grapevine that Jeremy'e defence didn't like him much...If this is the case then surely this could be a mistrial...Now I'm making it up as I go along, like you know who!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ha! I did say I was making it up....I just wonder how many people would believe what I had just said? Just like a jury who would believe anything that was said in court...We all have a choice on what we want to believe, but some people just believe everything and their are some that don't believe in anything they hear unless they see it for themselves....Its the point I am trying to make  and this is that we all have different beliefs...and just because someone says something other tend to agree, but there are others that will challenge that belief and can turn on a sixpence, confuse the believer and have them thinking they are wrong and they were right and so it goes on and on and the original belief is lost and they were right or could have been wrong and if you are confused Nugs then my theory has worked and what was deemed to be truth had now become a disbelief because someone has changed their way of thinking to their own....You can tell me off if you want tooooooooooooooo lol  :D :D :D :D

It was the officers who weren't keen on Jeremy. I should imagine the defence in any case would have to brace him,or herself as regards their defendant,as they get all sorts as you would imagine. This is where their skills come in,in convincing a guilty person to be innocent.

I think that is right Lookout...its all about skills in a court room. How they act and, put things together in order to make the court believe what they are saying...Although most of it, is guided within the realms of law, there is a drama side and some promotional side to the characters of those that play a part in grasping the audience of a jury in such a way to assist their decision. It happens, its true and is a fact.   ;D ;D ;D ;D
