He does have a point about lifers. We should adopt the Norwegian penal system, but the Daily Mail won't have it here because of Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells..http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/jul/07/hope-prison-lifer-exhausting-sentence

Not forgetting the small point that the Scots wouldn't be too happy about it, either.

Good morning All.
Another sad,,but possibly avoidable murder/suicide of a woman who's killed her two little children and then taken her own life, ( no details as yet ) but police aren't looking for anyone else.
I wish that Sheilas' diaries were available, along with her medical notes, because I,along with many others, believe that it was Sheila who took the lives of her family, then herself. The womans' medical/mental condition at the time was very volatile, and she was liable to have caused this tragedy.

Lookout, good morning. An excellent point you raised there. Were Sheila's medical notes ever made available to anyone. Stupid question, really, because had they been, there may not have been the need for the trial to happen.

Hi Lookout, I agree!! It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of Dr Philip Resnick in regard to Sheila!!

Hi girls. Indeed,,another tragedy while the balance of the womans' mind was unstable,,,though from the outside as people stated, she " seemed " to be recovering.! Questionable, though they ( the patient ) knows themselves what their intentions are,,this is why those who don't believe that Sheila was capable,,should think again.
Another poor soul here who has fallen through the net. It should NEVER be believed that anyone recovers that quickly from a trauma that affects their personal lives. How sad is this.?

I was interested to learn that it has just been "proved" that baby rats whose mothers have licked them frequently grow up less stressed than those whose mothers had licked then less. More interesting is that this appears to be generational in that the offspring of the less stressed produce less stressed infants and the stressed offspring produce stressed infants.

We may now take it as read but I'd like to know how this new finding is in any way different from that which I learned during my training, that is: Patterns repeat.

I was just thinking, if Jeremy killed his family, why wouldn't he have just dialled 999 from the farmhouse pretending to be Neville? All he then had to do was carefully make his way back home (on foot so as not to be seen or heard) and wait to be contacted by police?
