Over the past few years I have always argued that a Panic alarm was installed at Whitehouse farm prior to the murders and that Bamber deliberately set this off. I was wrong.

Caroline was entirely correct when she argued against me and was also correct about the notes that Bobby Boutflour wrote about Bamber setting off the alarm.

No Panic alarm was installed at Whitehouse before the murders.

The button I have seen is one that was installed afterwards. Bamber accompanied the fitter whilst it was fitted.

After the murders, Bamber sat in the kitchen with the alarm set and waited for Barbara Wilson to enter the back door. Much to her surprise the alarm went off, even though Bamber was sat at the kitchen table. When she asked him what he was playing at, he said he wanted to see if the police would arrive quickly or not. Barbara phoned the Police and cancelled the call out.

I have always told the truth on the forum and when it was pointed out to me this morning that I'd got it wrong I thought it correct to apologise.

It is very important to me personally and to members of the family that any arguments should be conducted honestly.
Vic, Are you sure you are talking about a panic alarm? Because a panic alarm wouldn't go off except if you press it. Or do you mean that Bamber pressed the panic button as Barbara Wilson entered the back door?

Hi Lugg, yes, I didn't make that clear.

After the murders a Panic Alarm and a Burglar alarm were fitted to the farm house.

On the occasion I mention it was the Burglar alarm that was activated.

So they were fitted at the same time then? Thank you for clarifying.

Vidvic....thank you for confirming what Jeremy himself has recently stated regarding the alarms.
Many times on the forum you have said "The family believe that Neville had made his way downstairs in order to try to reach the panic alarm" during the murders. I assume that the family actually told you that?

Hi Tyler. No. I completely got the wrong end of the stick. It was a member of the family that pointed out my mistake this morning.

Hi Vic, I've been ot most of the day and have only just seen this but thank you for the clarification!! I never doubted that you believed the PA was fitted prior and argued your point on that basis. It takes a lot to admit being wrong (especially on this kind of platform) - no need to apologise, you only argued what you believed to be the case!! :)

Can you explain this in more detail , how did you get mistaken with your claim ' the family believed NB was trying to get to the alarm ' and what you have been recently told ?

Lugg....the statement "the family believe that Neville made his way down to the kitchen to try to activate the panic button" is a positive one. Either the relatives said that this is what they believe..or they didn't. It really is as simple as that isn't it?

Yes there certainly is some confusion here isn't there? Do they still believe what they asserted before?
