Pretty damning evidence for the defence here.

Sheila was murdered, there can be no doubt. So who killed her?

Bamber, the Police, or someone else?

"It has been reported that a rifle found in another room in the house had blood of the same group as Sheila Caffell in it's sound moderator"?

A rifle found in another room?

Vidvic, the McDonnell report is old news. He had based his findings on it being a "fact" that a sound moderator was on the rifle when Sheila killed herself. McDonnell has since agreed that Sheila could have committed suicide after all.

Tyler, I'm well aware of it.

Well, why do you think it is damning for the defence then?

Surely that's obvious. It only isn't damning if you can discount the silencer being fitted, which no one has been able to do.

Is MacDonnells later opinion available anywhere Tyler? Even if you remove his final conclusion because it was based on the use of the silencer it's difficult to see how his findings in relation to blood stains on Sheila expressed in paragraphs 5-11 are consistent with suicide.

I think it is the other wa round isn't it? Since the silencer was not on the rifle when Sheila's body was found, surely it was up to the prosecution (and still is as far as I am concerned) to prove that it was fitted at the time of the murders. The only connection that "seems" to indicate that it was is the blood in the silencer. But that unfortunately is still not proof.

As far as I'm concerned,Jeremys' alibi in all this, was the figure at the window while he was outside with the police. There was nothing more clear,,and I'm sticking to that. What the police made of it was very quickly turned round to their way,as was everything else.
If a figure was seen,,it should have satisfied all concerned, and there should have been no need for Jeremy to have attended court, let alone been imprisoned.

Fresh-looking blood on Sheila at 10am.? After allegedly being shot at 3am.?

I understand Herb MacDonnell is a world-renowned expert who testified in some high profile cases: Robert F Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr - see bottom of attached link:

http://www.the-leader.com/news/x1781248032/Corning-forensics-expert-Herb-MacDonell-facing-more-allegations-charges

JB commissioned the reports which he funded by cooperating with Wilkes for his book.   Would JB have commissioned the reports by a world-renowned expert if he was guilty?

The tendency of course is to highlight expert witnesses that support posters' beliefs eg the above for guilty and say Peter Sutherst for innocent  :)

The above also reminds me of a Sir Professor Roy Meadow top paediatrician,,who sent at least 3 women to jail, and ruined the lives of others,, for the alleged murders of their children. One of those women being the late Sally Clark ( solicitor ) Him and his side-kick,Alan Williams,Home Office Pathologist, were eventually struck off.
