I wonder if the Thatcher family are in a position to be able to pay Margaret's funeral expenses.
After all, the British taxpayer isn't.

nugs  I have always liked Ken Clark he can be so humourous which sadly cannot be said for George Osborne maybe he was worried where the 10m was coming from.

They possibly are but I'm sure they won't. I am sure that the amount they offer will be minimal.

I was at Mortlake Crematorium where the private family cremation took place.

About 60 police officers, Swat team, river police, dogs etc.........another 10 cameramen and reporters.

However, only about 20 people. yet the barriers had been put up all along the road.

Maggie was driven in, followed closely behind by her immediate family.  Once Maggie was inside the crematorium people just upped and left...........

When the family left the crematorium the street was empty....except for all the Police!!

I was still at school when Mrs T came to power but I don't think history will be kind to her. 

Her then style/persona would make her completely unelectable today. 

Imo Mrs T did little to improve the lot of women in terms of equal rights etc.  Hence there are fewer influential women in the UK today unlike overseas, where regardless of these womens' policies they at least come over as human and roles models for girls/young women to aspire to:

It would be good to see Hilary Clinton as next US president but I fear age is not on her side.  I seem to recall reading recently that she suffered a minor stroke or some ill health?

And here's me objecting to the vast amount of tax paid in keeping that monster Abu Qatada in this country and now spending more deciding whether to deport the monster.Must have cost in excess of £3 million up to now,,and I pay towards keeping that sod here,,who's done more damage than Mrs Thatcher did.

apart from he is non human, smells , he  has praised attacks on Americans.
