She put everything in place before hand mertol who would have thought they would last for a year without pay?  I remember 100 police lined our street for weeks to get one man into work to try and break the strike and most of these police came from essex and the met?  When i talked to the Essex police when i was down colchester they told me what they did was illegal they stopped freedom and movement of travel.  They used to try to wind the pickets up by showing their wage slips with overtime and enormous payments.
The police also waived £20 notes at the miners, £20 then was a good bit , i really believed thatcher would call the army in if need be armed, anarchy was at the doorstep and may not have gone away

Maggie,,my reasons were the fact that Saddam was hunted down when he was no threat to this country.
It was to justify the reason for going to Iraq,of which I firmly disagreed with.
The threats to this country have been made ever since he was killed.

In saying that scargil wasnt that much better all these so called workers rights people get on my titts.scargill was fighting recently for rent of a second house.oh let me see what type of people claimed second house allowances .oh thats right dodgy m.p's just gors to show hes as bad as thatcher.most minners are lucky to have one house now.
The house Big Dave was very near to the NUM headquarters he was made life president which entitled him to keep the house wether right or wrong all past presidents had this privaledge?  It went to court because membership of the NUM dropped below 2000 instead of 100000 nothing was ever said when joe gormley had this house because its Arthur Scargill its wrong?  He never claimed second house allowances it was not his it belongs to the NUM.

He should have gone to gaol for that Maggie. Not bailed out by the British government. He even looks like a tosser.
