Excellent post,April. I think it's how most of us feel,,but only yourself could put it over in such a way.
I wonder why Julie didn't blame Jeremy after the McDonald theory blew out of the water. After all,,she didn't hold back on anything else.

Lookout, you're very kind. Thank you. My theory about why she didn't blame jeremy is because if we accept that she was telling lies, blaming Jeremy would have been the ultimate. There would have been no going back from it and she was probably still hoping for a proposal. After all Jeremy free would have been Jeremy with inheritance.

Patti very well put.  I try to avoid mentioning people by name other than people who have put themselves out into the public domain for money.

You're quite right about Julie's family-sorry Julie. Now back to Jeremy. I think he may well have resented the way he perceived the relatives behaving towards him during the lifetime of his parents, maybe freezing him out as he saw it although of course they were older than him and may have had other interests. Did June feel overwhelmed by her sister Pamela? I ask this because 10pm is late for a telephone call unless in an emergency-I'm not sure I would have answered at that time had it been me. Jeremy may have thought the relatives would miss Nevill and June and this was another way at getting back at them as well as gaining his freedom.

Steve,,wasn't June meant to have gone to a bible class that evening.? If so,,then it's only natural that her sister would ring and enquire as to why she didn't attend.
The relatives chose to be hostile towards Jeremy because as far as they were concerned,he " didn't belong " did he.?  The way they acted after the tragedy,,I'd have asked them if they'd have been in my grave as quick.!

I will grant that 10pm is late for a phonecall, but it must be remembered that Granny was old and failing so it's understandable that the call was answered.

I can't believe that you're suggesting that Jeremy killed his parents as a way of getting back at the rellies.

It's not that late to phone your sister, steve/april,  I feel June was quite close to her sister and wonder how much Pamela knew about Sheils's illness..  We have never heard much from Pamela about the murders but she did ask how jeremy was coping in prison and appeared to be the only relative who cared about him.

Maggie,,I've often wondered what Pamelas' feelings are about the whole thing. Another one who keeps her thoughts under wraps.

Well she must be very old now lookout but she was the person who lost the most, apart from Jeremy.  She has never spoken for some reason. Either because she didn't want to or wasn't able to.  It must have been very hard for Pamela to lose her sister in such a way.  I just wonder how much she knew about Sheila's ilness, June wanted her advice about Sheila so I feel those sisters may have shared a lot which has never been told.

I must say with hand on heart, I felt for PB...Out of all the statements I had read, I found her to be honest and fair...Sometimes, you have a gut feeling about someone.. :) :) :) :)

That is so true. Through all she has come across as a class act. Nice lady.

Another one who'll take her secrets to the grave,Maggie. So sad a life for Pamela.I imagine that June did confide in her, latterly,,,hence her concern about Jeremy that time.
