I get what people are saying i just think the courts get it right more than they get it wrong, theres always going to be a small amount of people that suffer because of it but i dont think there is a better system.

I think the police handled the case badly thinking it was a suicide and not keeping records acuratly etc.. Then panicked when JB came into the picture. I dont think he was framed by the police(not so sure about JM and the family).

A jury obviously found him guilty and the appeal courts found there was no evidence to disprove that.

I think theres a big difference between a badly handled investigation and police corruption.

I have to believe in our justice system because i think on the whole it does work and the police mostly do a great job.

My point being that (in my opinion) either call would have been a Godsend for the police to confirm the suicide...
Unless EP knew it was suicide, but wanted to avoid having to explain how they'd messed up and clumsily staged the scene, not anticipating how persistent the relatives would be.

I can't buy into that. The pressure on EP only came once JB was in the frame. That's when the press asked "Isn't it true you'd never have known about JB were it not for 3rd parties doing your job for you?"

It was far more in their interests to have been correct first time (suicide) and be able to prove it. The scrutiny on their evidence wouldn't have been very significant then, since the phone call would have gone a very long way to being the kingpin.

Having to do a U-Turn and chase JB was the harder option for them.

I readily admit though, a SECOND u-turn would have been harder still, which is why I claim the only realistic time where 'hiding' any suicide proof would be after the first U turn (and I don't believe there ever was anything to hide anyway)
