Robert Maudsley - Villain or Vigilante???
« on: February 26, 2011, 05:36:PM »
Thought id post about Robert Maudsley!

I dont think murder is right in any circumstance but does the fact he murdered peadophiles and child killers make him a more acceptable killer??

He murdered 3 of his victims while in prison which i find interesting!

I think id rather write about him than the like of Ian Huntley or Roy Whiting.

Robert Maudsley murdered a man who had picked him up for sex and then showed him pictures of children he  had sexually abused. Maudsley who was abused as a child and Garroted the man.

He was sent to prison where he proceeded to murder 3 fellow inmates who were serving time for child murder/child sex offences.

One of his victims was allegedly found by prison officials with part of his brain missing and a spoon stuck in his head.

Hes labelled the UK's Hanibal the Canibal and is currently in solitary confinement in a special wing of Wakefield prison (ive read Charles Bronson is on this wing also)

Fascinating case want to find out mofe indepth information as ive only read up on the internet.

...................

I was incarcerated at HMP Full Sutton at the time Charles Bronson, was being detained there, I seem to recall some sort of incident involving the death of a budgie, that Bronson was looking after, the net result was that Charles Bronson, was detained in the block ...

This would have been 1989 / 1990...

I heard or was under the impression that someone killed his budgie whilst he was absent from his cell, and it drove him insane with revenge, so the prison staff took him and detained him in the block...

I was incarcerated at the time this happened at HMP Full Sutton...

I have no problem with any of Robert Maudsley's crimes.

His victims all got what they deserved. He remains in solitary confinement in Wakefield Prison but a return to the mainstream Prison population there would help ease any overcrowding. Plenty of sex cases in there for him to reac hovoc on.

I agree with you both! Let's just say, he targeted the right people. And they won't be missed.

i personally couldnt give a hoot for the people he murdered, but one thing concerns me.

where were the prison staff while he was murdering these people?

how safe are our prisons for other prisoners, if one man can murder while locked up it, doesnt give me much faith in the prisons and staff.

Yeh its a good point.

I like the fact that after mudering two inmates in one morning he went to prison governer put his weapon on the desk and announced they would be two prisonets short on roll call!

Persinally id like to see him and Damien Fowkes in a room with Ian Huntley, Roy Whiting,Robert Black qnd a few others! People like that have no place on this earth.

People don't believe everything you read in the papers or on the net about Maudsley.
Not all of the men he killed were paedophiles or sex offenders. One of them was convicted after a crime of passion...and was filled with remorse about it. The victim was tortured for hours. What about his poor family? It's very easy for us to laugh/joke/whatever about it all but, think about it, there for the Grace of God go we! What if one of us {or one of our loved ones} snapped one day, did a crime and someone like Maudsley did the same to us?? Not so good now is it!?!?! Maudsley is supposed to be very intelligent...can't/won't comment on that...but he was stupid enough to do murder in prison  :-\

Could you point me in the direction of this victim that wasnt a peadophile as this is the first ive ever heard of him attacking someone that wasnt a sex offender.

The man's name was Salney Darwood. A family man who snapped one day due to intense provocation. He wasn't a paedophile or sex offender as stated in the media. He was a gentle man who snapped. He'd probably have been out of prison in just a couple of years if it had happened now. There is action happening as we speak to try to clear his name.
