How is it silly? It refers to his 'imprisonment' (clearly stated) not conviction!

If you look at the gangster program on the link I posted in the off topic forum a certain gangster says that 20 years ago it would cost £10,000 to £20,000 to get someone murdered. Nowadays you'd be lucky if you get £5,000. That is to murder one person. There were five people killed at WHF. JB simply didn't have that sort of money. And if you say, well he was going to pay them out of tyhe inheritance. Then he would have been killed in prison years ago for non payment of a debt to those contract killers.

Hi Lugg, you do know that my answer was hypothetical? I think I have made it more than clear that I am on the side of innocence. I did read your post on the other thread Lugg. :D.

I dont know.... if you do a stretch on remand and then are found innocent , do you get compensation ?

I di know that remand counts as 'time' once you are found quilty

I know it does if you are guilty.  Prisoners held on remand and found not guilty don't get any compensation, whether they have lost their job, home, family during this time.  They don't even get the treatment given to guilty prisoners when they are released.
I might add MOJ prisoners released don't get any support either, after maybe many years in prison they are just left at the prison gates, no support, no rehabilitation into the modern world.  The more you read the more horrifying this part of our prison system is and how much reform is needed.

I should think it was still wrong if he were innocent? With some criminals sometimes remand is couted as time already served.

Sorry but it wasn't very clear. Don't mean that to sound catty but it was difficult to tell if you were going to write did or didn't know that remand time counted. See below :)
